Probe tips in BeCu with various tip diameters, also versions with gold plating in tip area only, 20 mil or 0.508 mm shank.

Probe tips are manufactured from silver plated BeCu wire. So the shank stays silver plated with the copper showing in the tip area only.
Tips are packaged in boxes of 5 or 10. If you need quantities, a bulk option, available in increments of a 100 units, results in significantly better pricing per unit.

Beryllium Copper is typically used when contacting a gold metalization layer on the wafer. Copper tips tend to oxydize, giving them a dull look. A quick scrubbing operation removes this oxide layer at the contact point.
Starting immediately all our BeCu tip packages include now VCI anti corrosion paper to minimize tarnish of silver plated area and oxidization of copper tip. After trying various anti corrosion papers we did settle on Corrosorber™ paper.
For even better contact we offer gold plating. Since tips are manufactured from silver plated BeCu wire the shank retains the silver layer. Gold plating covers the tip area only. Compared to gold plated tungsten tips you get the higher conductivity and heat transfer capability of Beryllium Copper.

Currently in stock: Tips with 12.5, 25, and 50 µm tip radius in both,  BeCu and gold plated.
New! Probe Tips in BeCu with 1, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 µm tip radius. Because of higher variation when etching BeCu tips with 10 µm tip radius and below we have to sort under a high powered microscope. This process is very labor intensive and drives up cost per tip! We are working on process improvements to reduce variation.
Gold plated versions, tip area only with silver plated shank are in stock as well, same range sorted to 1, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 µm.
Additionally we have some unsorted 2.5 µm tips. Sometimes initial testing shows that tips are closer to the target value. Tolerances on tip radius are higher than with sorted tips. Quantities are limited. We are working on process improvements to reduce variation.

Other not listed values above 12.5 µm are available with short turnaround (2 - 3 weeks) and at the same low price.
